Creative Workshops

  • Our workshops bring fashion to life through sewing, garment printing and customisation (sublimation, laser, vinyl cutting and heat press), embroidery, pattern cutting, photography and styling. Every garment we use is pre-loved or donated deadstock, keeping fashion in circulation while teaching sustainable, ethical practices.

  • Confidence & Community

Our workshops are all about self-expression and good energy. Whether it’s young people finding their voice or older generations reconnecting, every session builds confidence and real community vibes.

  • Creativity & Sustainable Style

Learn hands-on skills while exploring the world of sustainable fashion. From upcycling clothes to creative design projects, participants gain practical skills that inspire new opportunities for learning and work.

  • Wellbeing & Safe Spaces

LFD workshops are more than just creative sessions. They’re a safe space to slow down, connect, and recharge. Mindfulness, inclusivity, and creativity come together to support positive mental health and a stronger sense of belonging.

LFD Reworked

  • Participants contribute to the LFD Reworked collection; a bold, collaborative streetwear line upcycled from donated garments by our volunteers, collaborating designers and workshop participants. Each piece tells a story of creativity, community and sustainability.

Secure The Bag Programme (16-30)

  • Secure The Bag is our flagship 30-week programme supporting young people with employability skills and hands-on creative experience. Participants build confidence through CV writing, interview prep and work placements while gaining creative skills by making a collection for our annual fashion show. The programme includes work experience in our LFD CIC Store, employer insight days and a job fair. We also support side hustles — because sometimes the first step to your dream career is working a job that helps fund your passion.

Who We Support

  • Our workshops are open to all, but we are especially committed to supporting marginalised communities, families on low incomes, elderly and disabled participants. LFD is a safe and inclusive space where creativity builds confidence and opportunity.

Beyond Workshops – In-Kind Support

  • Alongside our workshops, we provide in-kind support to those in need. From clothing for job interviews to school uniforms, stationery, baby packs for new mums, toiletries and toys. Every donation and partnership helps us extend dignity and opportunity to our community.
